Abstract

This change project aims to understand the relationship of authentic leadership and graduate nurses through relevant research. Recent studies have indicated that authentic leadership has a potentially beneficial impact on graduate nurses. With regard to health and retention, authentic leadership is investigated as an appropriate style of leadership for new nurses. Appropriate leadership from managers and preceptors is essential when fostering graduate nurses through the early obstacles of their new professional career. With this review, insight into the outcomes of authentic leadership will validate the inclusion of the leadership framework in nurse leadership training and development programs.
