Abstract
The purpose of this research study is to determine if reading habits affect death penalty attitudes. The survey was conducted online through a Google Forms document in order to interpret the results of the survey. After the survey, the death penalty attitudes of the participants will be determined by the questions relating to the death penalty and its use in the United States. In this study, the independent variable is the reading habits of the individual participants. The dependent variable is the various attitudes relating to the death penalty and its application. The experimental group participating in this study consists of UT Tyler college students from various classes and majors.
