Abstract
The hypothesis that we came up with was certain characteristics influence student effort. Our research survey consisted of twenty questions that primarily targeted a student's way of thinking and their efforts academically. Our research included control variables such as age, race, and gender while our dependent variables was how a person studies, how often they study, and their involvement both inside and outside of the classroom. We received twenty-six anonymous responses which we had a one-shot case design.
