Texas Journal of School Improvement

The Texas Journal of School Improvement (TXJSI) (ISSN XXXXX) is an open-access journal committed to publishing evidence-based research on systemic and sustainable improvement in schools with an emphasis on instructional excellence, data-driven practice, curriculum innovations, technology innovation, school culture, and the exploration and communication of new knowledge through applied research with a focus on evaluation research, design-based research, and design-based implementation research. The Texas Journal of School Improvement strives to explore school improvement from a range of perspectives encouraging pieces from the classroom, school, and system level as well as the impact of state and national policies. The Editors encourage pieces, including, but not limited to: o School improvement and reform o Leadership o Teaching and Learning o Research and the Effective Use of Data o Policy and reform o Program Evaluation o School Culture This online journal does not subscribe to any certain methodology, and publishes quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods studies. Relevant pieces developed by graduate students will be considered. Peer Review Policy: All articles in this online journal will undergo a rigorous peer review process beginning with the initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two experts in the field. The journal will publish an annual list of referees in the first issue of each volume.
