The Texas Journal of School Improvement (TXJSI) (ISSN XXXXX) is an open-access journal committed to publishing evidence-based research on systemic and sustainable improvement in schools with an emphasis on improvement science, instructional design, data-driven practice, networked improvement communities, iterative design, and the exploration and communication of knowledge through applied research with a focus on evaluation research, design-based research, and design-based implementation research.
The Texas Journal of School Improvement strives to explore school improvement from multiple frames of reference, encouraging implementation research and theoretical articles from investigators and practitioners at the classroom, campus, and system level.

This online journal does not subscribe to any certain methodology, and publishes quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods studies. Design Based Research and Design Based Implementation Research pieces are of special interest to the editors. Relevant pieces developed by graduate students will be considered.
Peer Review Policy: All articles in this online journal will undergo a rigorous peer review process beginning with the initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two experts in the field. The journal will publish an annual list of referees in the first issue of each volume.
