Abstract
This quality improvement project implemented a strength-based intervention for clinical nurse preceptors to address burnout and promote job satisfaction over a three-month period. Conducted within a large healthcare organization in East Texas, the initiative integrated training to help nurses identify and leverage their inherent talents as a strategy for resilience and well-being. Pre and post intervention assessments using the Maslach Burnout Inventory demonstrated effective improvement in personal accomplishment and a reduction in depersonalization among participants. These findings highlight the value of structured, strength-focused support for nurse preceptors, not only in mitigating burnout but also in fostering a healthier organizational culture. The results underscore the importance of adopting sustainable interventions that prioritize nurse well-being while strengthening the preceptor role essential to nursing education and workforce development.
