Abstract
A literature review was conducted over the available articles surrounding the use of honey in wound care for chronic diabetic foot ulcers. Medical-grade honey bandages have been found to have many properties that can enhance wound healing, and honey dressings were found to promote faster healing times than several alternatives. A benchmark project was conducted to delineate the process for application of research and implementation of practice change in a healthcare facility.
