Abstract
Venous Ulcers and edema are expensive to treat and chronic conditions that are a strain on home health care companies and decrease patient quality of life. The standard treatment is expensive multilayer compression wraps that time consuming requiring three weekly visits, a strain on home health care agencies and are often not successful in resolving edema and venous ulcers. Adjustable Velcro compression devices are proven to be successful compression therapy due to low one-time cost, patient's increased comfort and the patient or patients' family self-sufficient in their application.
