Abstract
Childhood obesity is an evolving global health epidemic that has the potential to plague children into adulthood. Obese children have an increased risk of complications early in life due to eating foods that lack nutrition and living a sedentary lifestyle (Smith et al., 2020). Encouraging the next generation on the importance of making healthy food and lifestyle choices can positively impact them in the future. Health care providers must be equipped with the necessary tools to help identify, treat, and educate patients who suffer from obesity.
