Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between different mechanics in the game Overwatch and how they affect a player's Skill Rating (SR). I will perform a multivariable regression to determine if number of eliminations, number of deaths, time played, level, assists, objective time, and win rate have an effect on SR. The results of my data will help players within Overwatch to target certain aspects of the game that can help them to increase their SR. This paper will only cover the competitive season 20 in Overwatch and will include 100 observations for all three roles within the game.
