Abstract

This brief examines Tyler, Texas's rose industry and its impact on the local economy and culture. Once the “Rose Capital of America,” Tyler transitioned from large-scale rose production to a focus on processing, distribution, and community traditions like festivals. The rose industry has played a key role in regional employment, economic growth, and maintaining Tyler's cultural identity.
