Abstract
Recreational activities should be fun and safe. This study looks at a possible dangerous bacterial threat to a long enjoyed summer pastime. Escherichia coli is a common bacteria present in many forms both beneficial and harmful. This study aims to find out whether the abundance of E. coli contaminants in East Texas waterways are a threat to humans enjoying them.
