Abstract

There is an estimated 39 million people across the world who are visually impaired. Of this number, 700,000 reside in Texas. They are limited in their own degree of freedom and in today’s modern world, technologies are progressing in order to assist this community. This purpose of this project is to modify the adult tricycle by installing electrical and mechanical augmentations so that a visually impaired person can navigate freely without the use of a physically marked track.
