Abstract
The purpose of this project is to create a test-bed that uses instrumentation commonly applied in the HVAC industry to be utilized in a laboratory environment for zoning and demand control ventilation. Demand control ventilation and zoning are strategies used in the HVAC industry to reduce energy consumption. These two concepts address both the reduction of energy use while also maintaining thermal comfort and meeting air quality requirements. This project will incorporate the reduction of energy consumption while maintaining thermal comfort in specified zone for the application of HVAC systems.
