Abstract

The women of Tyler and Smith County, Texas, organized the Smith County Equal Suffrage League in 1913 and continued to fight for the right to vote through the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. Their leaders and efforts, their ups and downs, are related in this presentation.
